Information in this document applies to any platform.

At the moment of updating this note there are no recommended patches on top of 11.1.0.6 nor 11.2, but applying latest PSU.
Purpose
Intended for customers who want to know what are the minimal patches that needs to be applied before configuring Streams. This is not a full list of patches for all the bugs/known issues for entire Streams product.

This document complements and does not replace the recommendations done on document

It is highly recommended to apply to apply the latest PSU available for your release prior installing Streams specific patches as more and more problems will be avoided.
Note 854428.1 Intro to Patch Set Updates (PSU)
For the moment there are not recommendations for patches on top of 11.1.0.6 nor 11.2.0.
For Windows platforms we do not provide specific patches and therefore the patch will be included on latest bundle patch set.
Note that not all of the patches can be available for all the platforms. If there is no patch available for your platform please contact Oracle Support to request it.
When requesting a patch do not forget to specify:
- Platform where the patch is required.
- Exact release, patchset and PSU level
- Provide list of patches installed and/or the ones that you pretend to install. This is required to verify potential clashes during installation. You can get the list of patches installed using command:
opatch lsinvetory -details

On top of 11.1.0.7.1 and above

After any patchset is applied to an existing streams database, be sure to perform in each database, the database migration steps for the patchset.

For best results, implement the following suggestions.
- Double the shared_pool_size
- Set the hidden init.ora parameter _first_spare_parameter=50 (for 50% of the shared_pool_size parameter)
- Use the manual flow control scripts available on Note 259609.1
- On multi-cpu machines, set the hidden init.ora parameter _kghdsidx_count=1.

This patch is a consolidation of multiple patches with the Streams Wizard for the Streams OEM Gui and Oracle Management Server and is a generic patch for all platforms.
This patch must be installed on both the server ( where your OMS is running) and the client (where you launch the OEM Console).
You will need to restart the OMS.
