PeopleSoft Application Continuity
- Transparent Application Failover (Tools 8.50.09)
- The ‘Oracle feature’ refers to the automatic failover and re-establishment of application-to-db-service connections in the event of a a database node failure in a RAC environment
- In this case when an open connection to a database is lost, client applications can automatically reconnect to the database, and resume In-flight transaction that was in progress.
- This reconnect happens automatically from within the Oracle Call Interface (OCI) library, with no intervention from the application program.

- A mechanism to attribute Process Scheduler processes as R/O so that these components get redirected to the STANDBY Database
- Changes to App Server and Process Scheduler to redirect to the STANDBY Database
